Schoonover Boyer + Associates was formed in 1990 from the combination of the audit, tax and financial consulting practices of its founding senior partners.   Their business plan and mission statement addressed the need for a high quality CPA firm with close personal attention to the ongoing needs of closely-held and family owned businesses in the Central Ohio market.  Mike Schoonover and John Boyer began their careers in public accounting in the 1970s with the large national accounting firms.  Mike began his career at Kenneth Leventhal & Company in 1972.  John began his career with Coopers & Lybrand and joined Mike and others in the Columbus office of Kenneth Leventhal & Company in 1978. Together, they have over 50 years of combined diverse experience.  Beginning with two staff members and an administrative assistant, the firm has grown to more than 25 professionals dedicated to serving a variety of businesses owners and their management teams.
